What to Visit in Kikuchi

Kyushu, in general, is packed with great outdoor adventures — from mountains to climb and trails to cycle to rivers to wade in and forests to bathe in. One of the best places to enjoy all these kinds of adventures is Kikuchi. During your visit, make sure you see all the following places. 1. Kikuchi Gorge The highlight of Kikuchi is the gorge — this is what most people visit the area to see. Part of the Kikuchigawa River, the gorge is four kilometers long and features several walking trails through the forest. The waterfall is particularly impressive when water levels are high. During the rest of the year, the area is ideal for forest bathing, bird watching, and enjoying the colors and sounds of nature. 2. Kamogawa Riverside Park Spend more time at the river by visiting Kamogawa Riverside Park.
