June in Tokyo is many things—humid, energetic, packed with events. But this year, one celebration stands out with unapologetic sparkle: Tokyo Pride. Formerly known as Tokyo Rainbow Pride, the rebranded event now stretches across the entire month of June, aligning with global Pride Month and offering a full slate of events in support of the LGBTQ+ community. If you’ve never attended before, think of it like a choose-your-own-adventure festival. Whether you’re in it for the parades, the parties, the panel discussions, the art shows—or all of the above—Tokyo Pride 2025 is ready to welcome you. The Main Stage: Yoyogi Park Things kick off June 7–8 with the Pride Festival in Yoyogi Park’s Event Plaza (11:00–18:00 both days). Expect booths from advocacy groups, LGBTQ+-friendly businesses, food stalls, and a steady rotation of live performances on the Pride Stage. It’s free, family-friendly, and fun. June 8 is also the day of the Pride Parade, which begins at noon.
